My cat ate human food and cheese for weeks. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

So, um.... I recently just been told that hybrid cats can't eat anything except cat food, and I've been sharing my food with him (which includes mi goreng, chicken from mixed indonesian food, and other human foods) for about two weeks more or less ( I cannot remember)... Also, my little sisters fed him processed cheese... Please, tell me, what should I do?

Cats should be primarily fed a balanced commercial diet (or carefully balanced home cooked diet) to assure that they receive all necessary vitamins and minerals. Since cats are obligate carnivores and are lactose intolerant, human foods are less than ideal. That being said, unless your cat is experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or inappetance, I highly doubt that the past two weeks of human food have caused any major issues.
