My pet's skin flakes vanished. Was it dry skin, dandruff, or fleas?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Also, what I thought was dandruff or flea eggs (honestly idek anymore) have disappeared as of today. So did they fall off as flea eggs or was the dry skin flared as I was constantly checking his skin and brushing a lot, but in the past few days it has been less.

It is really hard to know without actually seeing your pet. It could just be dry skin. Continue to monitor for live fleas and if you don't see anymore than it probably was not flea eggs. I would also think there would be quite a bit of flea dirt if your pet had flea eggs in his coat. If you aren't seeing a lot of flea dirt than it could definitely just be dry skin.
