Doberman puppy cried after tail hit, then wagged. Is her tail hurt?

My puppy was fighting with my other dog and I hit my puppy (slightly) but I accidentally hit her tail& she was crying really bad for like 10 seconds & she put her tail under her... but like the next minute she was wagging it again.... keep in mind she's a Doberman ! Did I injure her tail in anyway? Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | unspayed

Oh no, poor Pookie! More than likely, you did hurt her tail which would be why she cried, but if she is able to move her tail then her tail likely isn't injured. I would caution you against hitting her as a punishment as it doesn't teach her to stop doing something, it only teaches her to be afraid of you. The next time they are fighting, immediately separate them and put them in time out.
