My Lhasa Apso's front paws turn out. Are his angular wrists normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | neutered | 10 months and 15 days old | 17 lbs

Hi my Lhasa' feet go to the side when he stands. His "wrists" for lack of better wording seem almost angular to this. I was wondering if this is normal or if i should take him to my local vet for check up? He is not due his next vaccination until July.

Hello, Based on your description, Loki may have what we refer to as a valgus deformity or angular limb deformity. It is a bone malformation some pets are born with, and it can be corrected with surgery. Follow up with your veterinarian to discuss options
