Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Female | spayed | 3 months and 10 days old | 4 lbs

Hi we have a Lhasa Apso, she's 3 months 10 days old n has saw severe cases of worms, all types, she pooped only worms once about a month back n I was told by my Vet to give her Deworming n she was given an injection as well for ticks , I have her deworming 2 days back but she still scoots on her back n seems to be licking her butt hole in pain, can I give her deworming syrup again? Using Kiwoff puppy, kindly suggest, we started giving her meat n veggies a couple of days back . I'm from India

Sorry to hear about your troubles with Devil. You can certainly give another deworming treatment now and then it's recommended to give a final treatment in 2 weeks, because of the life cycle of the worm. Keep in mind though that the worms can itch when they exit the body, which causes some licking. Also if she has had loose stool you may want to get her anal glands checked to make sure they are not full and in need of expressing. Full anal glands can cause licking and irritation as well, which improves once they are expressed. To help ease some of her soreness you can soak Devil in a warm Epsom salt bath for 5-10 minutes as well, or do a spot soak in the sore anal area. Best of luck with your pup!
