Why is my dog licking and drooling after rough play, uncomfortable?

My yellow lab has been licking and drooling for about an hour now. It happened after he was outside with a bit of rough play. He doesn't seem in distress but looks a bit uncomfortable. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 6 years and 11 months old | 88 lbs

It sounds like Indiana could be a little nauseous, as drooling can be a sign of nausea. He may have played too roughly, and upset his stomach. I would rest him, and wait another hour before feeding him. Because he's already uncomfortable, i wouldn't recommend feeding him just yet because that can cause bloat. In another hour, if he seems a little more comfortable, you can give him small amounts of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice. You can feed him this a couple of times tonight, and then tomorrow slowly add back in his normal diet. Hopefully by tomorrow, he will be back to his normal self. If he's not, then I would have him seen by a vet for a health check.
