My cat is hiding after a house fire. Is she in shock? How to help?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

Hi there. I just had a slight house fire in my basement this morning, everyone was fine and everybody got out safely. None of my cats have suffered from smoke inhalation, But one of my cats is acting very reclusive and does not want to come out from underneath my bed. Is she in shock? If so is there anything I can do to help or should I wait for her to come to me to be comforted?

Oh how horrible, but I'm glad everyone is fine and got out safely! It could be that Flower is stressed out from this experience, and I would leave her be for now. Let her have some quiet time alone for a bit, and she will come out when she's ready.
