My chihuahua whimpers with a bone and shoves it in my face. Why?

Why does my chihuahua "Bella" whimper every time she has her bone in her mouth and is constantly in my face while doing that ? If she is chewing it she is fine. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 5 years and 5 months old | 13 lbs

When dogs have a toy or item they especially love, they can whimper as a sign of excitement when they are carrying the toy around. Bella may be putting it your face as a sign that she wants you to play with her and it. I suggest playing with her and it when she comes up to whimpering to you :-)
