My dog ate a chocolate Andes mint with foil wrapper. Is he okay?

My dog ate an Andes mint covered with Chocolate with the foil wrapping paper on it. He ate the whole thing!

Oh no, that was naughty of Jax! The good news is that one of these mints is not very big, and therefore would not have a lot of chocolate in it. He would need to consume at least two ounces of chocolate at his weight to have a mild to moderate reaction. There will not be two ounces of chocolate in one mint, so I would not expect Jax to experience any problems from this. As for the foil wrapping, that should pass without problem.

    Jax probably didn't get a toxic dose of it was milk chocolate and only one. If he ingested more, it is possible. He should pass the wrapper without difficulty. He could have diarrhea. Monitor his stools and contact your veterinarian if he develops vomiting or diarrhea.
