How to tell a budgie's age by its cap, cere, eyes, or leg band?

I am trying to determine my budgie's age, he has a clear cap, blue cere, and grey irises. He has a purple band around his leg as we got him from a breeder in NSW Australia. I was wondering if you could help me give him an age estimate. Thank you. Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

Based on the cap and eye color, probably at least 4-8 months. Usually the band color will tell you what year the budgie hatched if they are registered with the American Budgeriger Society.
