My puppy won't nap. Should I make him sleep in his crate during the day?

Should I make my puppy take naps? I recently read that puppies his age sleep most of the day but Rowan isn't like that. The only time he sleeps is at night when I put him in his cage or if I need him to be in the cage because I can't watch him. Should I put him in his cage for naps during the day or is it ok for him to stay up all day?

It's hard to make a puppy take a nap, so follow his lead. He will sleep outside of the cage if he's really tired, and you can try putting him in the cage to see if he will nap. If Rowan wants to take a nap, he can take a nap, and if he doesn't, let him play :-)
