Why is my cat limping intermittently? Is a long dew claw the cause?

if a cats side claw is too long could it cause her to limp intermittently

Yes, it could cause her to limp intermittently. If the dew claw gets too long, it can grow into her paw and it cause her to be in pain leading to limping. I would have her claws cut to see if that helps with the limping.
