How do I get my dog to use her bed on the couch and stop shedding?

We bought a new couch and we do not want her to shed on our couch so we bought a bed for she can set down on the couch but she does not want to set down what do I do. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | 6 months and 10 days old | 8 lbs

Praise and reward Bentley when she lays on her bed. Restrict access to the room if possible. You can also use a physical barrier such as a carpet runner flipped upside down. The grips on the runner will be uncomfortable for her to lay on. You can also use a deterrent product such as a Scat Mat which will deliver a harmless shock if she jumps up onto the couch.
