My dog has hair loss after rabies shot. How to make fur grow back?

My maltipoo received his Rabies vaccine last November and has recently developed a patch of alopecia at the injection site. Do you feel it would help to give pentoxifylline in order to try to get fur to grow back? I know that it can be permanent, but I feel that I should try to do something to encourage hair growth. If there are any other suggestions I would very much appreciate any other advise. Thank you.

I would not give him pentoxifylline. This drug is used in dogs to increase blood flow to areas not getting enough blood, and to promote healing and decrease inflammation caused by skin ulcers.
