My dog twisted a paw nail again. When should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 26 lbs

My dog has twisted his nail. In his paw it happened in the garden it happened before but went back its self the same day. Will he be OK or should I take him to the vets its his thumb nail

You can see if you can gently untwist his nail yourself, but if it's really painful for Fabio (love his name!), I wouldn't try it. Keep an eye on the nail, and if it doesn't return to normal by tomorrow, then I would have him seen by a vet.
