My cat's poop has a sandy texture. Is it worms or something else?

My 2 cats feces had what looked like a sandy texture throughout. It did not look like the grains of rice sized worms I have seen in the past, smaller.

Their feces may have been dryer than normal or was in the pan longer before you got a chance to look at it. As long as your cats are healthy otherwise, eating drinking, playing and eliminating well, then I would keep an eye on it. Parasites tend to cause diarrhea rather than grainy texture. If it persists, take a fresh sample to your vet for an analysis.
