My dog swallowed a pacifier. Is it an emergency for a big dog?

My dog is quite big and swallowed a rubber pacifier whole 1 hour ago. What can I do to help if i is an issue?

There isn't much you can do, if you have a big dog the pacifier will hopefully pass through the intestinal tract, if she stops eating are start vomiting - take her to the vet, she will need an xray to check if the pacifier is blocking the intestinal passage.

    Unfortunately rubber pacifier may cause gastrointestinal obstructions and quite often we do see this problem in practice. The size of your dog matters (bigger size = less likely to cause an obstruction), but I do see these foreign bodies stuck in the stomach or intestine relatively often even in giant dogs. I think it would be best to take her to your veterinarian and have her checked. Your vet will maker her sick and get rid of the problem straight away.
