Why does my puppy get sad and cry when he sees himself in the mirror?

My puppy discovered himself in the mirror and got super sad and cried, now he keeps sitting next to the mirror (he can't reach it unless jumping) why?

Poor pup! This is very common with young puppies - they think there is another puppy in the mirror, and may get frustrated or sad because they can't figure out how to get to it :) Your puppy will eventually get tired of hanging around the mirror, but you can help by playing with him someplace else or taking him for a walk to help him forget about it.
