Any estimate on how much surgery would cost for my dog with a dislocated hip?

It depends on what area you live in and what type of surgery you're talking about (there are a few different procedures that can be done for a dislocated hip), but in my area, normal cost for that type of surgery would be in the range of $1000 - 1500. I would recommend calling a few clinics in your area - most won't give exact numbers because there are a lot of variables involved, but they should be able to give you a general range.

    Veterinary costs will vary by practice, location (urban, suburban, or rural), and area of the country. You might try calling a few local practices and asking them directly. Most vets will probably want to examine the dog before giving you an estimate, though, in order to know eactly what would be involved in the surgery.
