I have a goldendoodle that has a bald spot on the upper right side of her back. I don't know what to do. The skin color is pinkish.

It could be caused by a bacterial skin infection, ringworm, mites/parasites, or allergies. Have your vet take a look at her to determine the cause. Your vet can do a skin scrape and /or culture to help diagnose and treat. You could try to bathe her with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps.

Bald spots on dogs are most commonly caused by an external parasite, such as fleas and mites, ringworm, or allergies. If Rebel isn't up to date on her flea treatment, you should get a spot on treatment for her. Advantage or Revolution are good choices. If she does have fleas, you will need to disinfect the house. If she is up to date on her flea treatment, I would take her in to your vet to have them examine and diagnose what is causing the baldness, and have them prescribe the appropriate treatment.

Hair loss can have a variety of causes. Allergies, parasites, or infection are common reasons for it. I would recommend having this examined by a veterinarian to determine the cause.
