My dog ate a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Will he be okay or need a vet?

My 11 pound dog ate half of a BBG pulled pork sandwich accident an hour ago. Should I bring him to the vet or will he be okay? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years old

The good news is, there is nothing about a BBQ pork sandwich that is inherently toxic to dogs so you don't need to worry about that :) I would say that your dog will probably be just fine - you may see some stomach upset, such as mild vomiting and/or diarrhea for the next 24 hours or so since his system is probably not used to food like this. Occasionally, a serious illness like pancreatitis could result from eating something this kind of table food, so I would recommend taking Hershey to the vet if he has vomiting/diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours, or if he becomes very lethargic or doesn't want to eat.
