My dog's skin is very loose and I can pull it. Is this normal?

His skin (on body and sides) is very loose and I can pinch and pull it out 1-1½ inches. What does this mean and what should I do? Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | neutered | 4 years and 7 months old | 34 lbs

Some dogs can naturally have very loose skin. However, if you feel that this is a sudden change, then this could be a sign of weight loss. Check to see if his collar is looser as well. If you think that he is losing weight, he should be evaluated by your veterinarian.
