This can happen after delivery. offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues having diarrhea, take her to the vet to get treatment.

Poor Sarah! You can try giving her a daily probiotic such as Forti-Flora to see if this helps with the diarrhea. If she hasn't been dewormed recently, you can also try deworming her with a broad spectrum dewormer like Strongid or Panacur, since intestinal parasite issues often flare up in mother dogs shortly after giving birth. If there is no improvement in the diarrhea in the next 2-3 days, or if she develops any other symptoms such as vomiting, acting lethargic, or not wanting to eat, then I would recommend taking her to the vet for an exam as these can be signs of a more serious problem.

Hi, no diarrhoea is not expected, and whilst you could try to see if it gets better with a bland diet of chicken and rice, a week is too long and could put her own health at risk. It is definitely better to have Teaya checked over !
