Why is my 7-week-old kitten breathing 90 bpm but still active?

I have a 7-8 week old kitten who started breath very heavily last night, I counted it and its 90 breaths per minute. He still eats and plays though

This is abnormal and concerning. A normal respiration rate for a cat is 24-42 breaths per minute and maybe slightly higher in a kitten, but not that high. Please have him seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
