My dog eats grain-free. Can I switch them back to regular food?

Can I switch my dogs back to a food with grain? They have been grain free for about a year now and it was unnecessary to change them.

Yes I don't see any reason why you can't transition them back. Most pets don't have grain allergy anyway, which research shows us. I would be cautious however if your pet was perhaps allergic or suspected to be allergic to certain proteins though. Chicken, beef and turkey are the most common allergen protein that dogs have so I would make sure to stay with the same protein as the current food you have your pet on. Also make sure to do a gradual food switch over the course of a week to help prevent GI upset.

Yes you can, however transition slowly by replacing a little more of the old food with the new every day to avoid stomach upsets.
