Pregnant bitches should be fed a high quality, complete food and should be fed the puppy stage from 6-7weeks plus to ensure a higher calorie intake. They should not need extra supplementation and be sure not to over supply calcium as this can predispose to eclampsia during birth or nursing

Pregnant dogs shouldn't require any vitamins if you are feeding them a high quality puppy food during the last 3rd trimester of pregnancy which is typically after the 40th day of gestation. If you are feeding her a high quality food such as Royal Canin , Hll's Science diet or Eukanuba (my top choices) puppy food then she will receive the required nutrients she needs to maintain a nutritionally healthy pregnancy. She will also need to continue eating puppy food even after pregnancy and until the puppies are weaned off her milk.

As long as your dog is on a high quality diet and is eating enough calories, she shouldn't need multivitamins. Commercial canine diets are balanced for vitamins and mineral, and even pregnant dogs shouldn't need additional vitamins. You can start supplementing her diet with puppy food at this point, which will increase calories and help her respond to the demands that the growing puppies are putting on her body.
