My dogs scrotum used to be tight and it didn't really hang when walking. Now its really loose and swings when walking. He's 5. Is something wrong?

That is likely just a normal aging change. Make sure the testicles appear equal in size, are not painful or unusually hard. It is common for a male dog of 5-6 years to have a scrotum that is a bit "saggy"...,,,I am the surgeon at a spay and neuter clinic and we call them "danglers" as a bit of humor. I don't know what breed your dog is, but the larger breeds (lab, golden, German shepherd, American Bulldogs, etc.) seem to appear this way more commonly than smaller breeds, but it can happen to any breed.
